Chaseburg
Chaseburg, located on Highway 162 not far from State Highway 14/61, is a little village of around 300 people with a distinction in Vernon County—it's split-level. During the early pioneer years, the area was settled mainly by two groups: Germans settling up on the ridge and Norwegians in the valley. Today’s residents are friendly, hardworking, and eager to please. Chaseburg is known for its hunting, fishing (with its trout streams), and snowmobiling. The third weekend of every January, check out the annual Chaseburg Trail Days featuring music, food, parade, games and more.
